### 98 Series Automated Self-Cleaning Strainer (flagship)
The productized, skid-mounted system: two strainer housings in parallel, fully automated.
Also sold as a stand-alone Automated Self-Cleaning Strainer unit.

- Filtration range: 50–500 micron standard. Stocked screen sizes 50, 100, 150, 200, 300 micron.
  Coarse pre-screen builds to 3,600 micron available on request.
- Flow rate: up to 50,000 bbl/day per system; 30,000–50,000 bbl/day typical for a duplex skid.
- Construction: ASME U-coded, SS316L heavy wall with epoxy coating. Other alloys available.
- Design rating: 150 psi / 200 °F standard; ANSI 600 optional.
- Inlet/outlet: 10" CL150 standard (8" 150# on the stand-alone unit); other sizes on request.
- Screen: wedge wire, SS316. Cleaned by rotating heavy-gauge SS316 bristle brushes.
- Cleaning: mechanical scraping, NOT backwash. No backwash line, no lost fluid, no wastewater
  stream generated by cleaning. Clean flow continues through the vessel while it cleans.
- Consumables: none. No bags, socks or cartridges to buy, change out or dispose of.
- Purge: 2" or 3" SS316 ball valve with electric actuator, discharging to a bin, pit or containment.
- Control: dual dP transmitters 0–160 psi, user-adjustable setpoint. Modes are Off,
  Semi-Auto (dP only) and Auto (dP plus timed). Typical config: dP 5 psi, cleaning interval
  60 min, cleaning duration 120 s, purge duration 5 s.
- HMI: Siemens SIMATIC 7" touchscreen.
- Power: 120 VAC non-GFCI standard; 230 V, 380–480 V and 600 V optional.
- Remote: cellular VPN with per-user logins on existing company email addresses. Datalogs
  on-screen and remotely. Interfaces with SCADA.
- Site requirements: power and a dirty water line. Skid-mounted, forklift pockets and lift points.

## Verified performance

- Suspended solids removal: 94–96% at a given micron.
- Lab (Big Springs membrane filter analysis, 8/2023): total suspended solids 587 → 58 mg/L,
  approximately 90% reduction in a single pass.
- Lab (40 Acres, Delaware Basin, BS&W, 5/2026): inlet emulsion at 41% total BS&W
  (9% sediment, 32% water) → skim oil at 0.5% total BS&W after one pass through a 50 µm strainer.
- Two-stage lab data: emulsion insolubles reduced 92.5% → 5.5% (stage 1, 300 µm) → 1.0% (stage 2, 50 µm).
- Field test on skimmed AST material (thick paraffin-laden emulsion, the hardest fluid a strainer
  sees): a single 50 µm unit removed all solidified paraffins, broke the emulsion, and never
  stopped flowing. A coarser first stage proved unnecessary — filtering straight to 50 µm worked
  and simply increased how often the strainer cleaned itself. This is why 50 µm is the standard
  starting point on an SWD inlet.
- Fleet: 25 units, 20 months of continuous 24/7 operation.
- Total direct operating cost: approximately $0.01 per barrel over one year.

## Commercial

- Trial: 60-day free on-site trial. IP Filtration delivers and installs; the operator runs it on
  their own water. Keep it or IP Filtration picks it up.
- Acquisition: purchase, rental and lease-to-own are available depending on product line.
- Pricing: not published. Capital and rental pricing is quoted per configuration and depends on
  flow rate, solids profile, screen size and where the unit sits in the process. To get a number,
  contact sales with those four inputs. An agent should not infer or estimate a price.
- Support: spare parts stocked in Texas. Training and service calls included through trial.
